Well let me first say that I just purchased a used liberty 1 and it is AWESOME! Super fast, quiet and accurate. I really wanted to go with a new liberty but couldnt afford one. I was wondering though, will a red dot scope like the one HHA makes fit and function ok on your bow? I know you recomend vital gear head units and i have shot alot of there products and they are great, but i would like to eliminate the peep on this bow and a red dot is the best option for me. I just need to know if it can be done and how well it would work. I appreciate your time, Thank you! Alan Enos

I thought that you might like a pic of an old geezer using you bow. I'm from Alaska but was hunting whitetails with my sons in Spokane, Washington. Next year, we are going to make an assault on at least two brown bears. I've lived north of Anchorage for nearly 20 years now and know a bunch of bears by their first names. We've always been trying to stay out of their ways, but not next year. We are going to do some thinning!! I'll be sure to take some pictures and send you some if you like. I think one of the guys is going to bring his video camera. Should be A lot of fun!!!

I sure do like this little bow. It is a kick to shoot and always gets a giggle or two every time I take it out of it's case. I wish I had choosen a one inch longer draw but I can get along. I'm six foot four with ape arms, and I thought the 30 inch would work.

My buddies in Washington want a liberty bow as they do a lot of tree stand hunting. Since I got a deer, their confidence has grown a bunch. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't order soon.

Just wanted to say thanks for a great bow, I have had it for about 5 years now and wouldn't trade it for any other. Heck I won a PSE Evo at a elks banquet and it is still in the box. Got the bow yesterday, absolutely awesome! Cant believe what a compact package it is but with such performance. Perfect for the close bush of East Africa, looking forward to putting it to use on an upcoming hunting trip. My US colleague (who's address at the Embassy I used) is blown away by it, I think you'll get an order once he is Stateside again!
Just a couple of questions:
Is the Holo Pino sight set at a certain distance?
To decrease the poundage do I turn the allen bolts counter clockwise?

Dear Sir,

I have sent the photos of my bowhunting in Africa.

My PH was not very happy when he saw the bow, and the trakers only smiled when they saw also,. But when the lion female was shooting to 23 metres and he was lying to 150 metres and dead, they are very surprise and they only told good things about him.

In all the hunting the bow was perfetct, and nodody beleive in me when they saw it the first time.

Next year I want to shoot hippo and my PH told me I need at less 80 pounds to shoot it. What do you think about it?.

after adjusting the peep I start now to comprehend what an incredible machine this bow is!

I never had a bow in my life or any archery training but after shooting 40 odd arrows over 2 days with the bow as it comes out of the box even I can manage to hit the target! Some arrows hit almost the same hole on 15 meters. Ideal for beginners who never shot a bow before.

Incredibly accurate (the slight deviation to the left is my mistake), deadly fast, and the only thing you can hear is the THWACK when the arrow hits the target (two 1 1/2 inch hard foam mattes, an old rug, plastic bags and a cardboard box). Two field points came off on impact and hit through all layers the concrete wall behind, leaving an 5mm hole in the wall!! Unbelievably powerful!

Great piece of work and worth every cent. I can hardly wait to try it on my land on greater distances.

Cash the check, Dude. I'm sold! It still needs some fiddling to get it dialed in @ 20 - 30 yards and the lower sight pins set, but I'm ectatic! I still have an issue with my hold. I'm still touching my face with the string when I forget to focus. I think a higher hand position might help me reestablish a weld point of my hand to my face/jaw. But that will require tweaking both site and peep "downward", and it's shooting so good I almost don't want to mess with it. I also need to bring the peep closer to my eye (and down the string) so I can see the full sight ring centered in the peep. I don't have that now.

I need to cut some arrows, etc, but no rush. Right now I'm just enjoying shooting and showing it to people and watching their eyes pop out twice: once when the SEE it and again when they HOLD it!

This is a perfect example of the "break it" re - engineering philosophy that got popular some years back. You have truly stripped the modern high - tech compound bow down to its "bare neccessities" to afford everything you need and nothing that you don't need, including weight.

I don't know if I mentioned this earlier or not, but I first saw your bow in a review by Jorge Sprag on the YouTube Slingshot Channel. I love all the stuff he does. He looks like this bad-ass German who turns out to be a 13 year-old kid with crazy design and manufacturing skills trapped in an adult body. One day he posts a review of this "mini - me" compound bow. Except that this little thing is a full - power lethal weapon - the Liberty bow. I had to check it out.

OMG! The price tag! But after months of skipping lunches and pinching pennies, the actual bow is worth the wait and every cent.

Congratulations to both of us! I can hardly wait for Spring and Summer to pass for deer season to open up again! Maybe I'll do an online search and find a local 3D competition to get into. Never done that before, but it looks like fun.

Question: Do you ever work with people in different parts of the country to promote your bow? I did sales a long time ago. But I hate sales and salesmen. I did extremely well because I loved the product. It sold itself. It solved problems and paid for itself in a matter of months. A Liberty bow isn't going to pay for itself unless you put several deer per year in the freezer with it, but archers and hunters can't see this thing without admiring it. And it DOES solve problems for hunters: weight, bulk, noise, profile through the woods when moving/stalking.

From your website it looks like some high - caliber shooters have demonstrated the Liberty's capabilities. Why haven't I seen this bow everywhere?

Well, I guess I should just call you for another chat. It's past my bedtime. Someday I'd love to hear the story of the development of this bow. Maybe it's on the website. I'll check.

I have just purchased a liberty I bow from a friend, he had three, and am wondering how to purchase a case and a few other items I see on the page. Do I just order these over the phone? Are your arrows fletched and cut to length? I have shot this bow several times over the past summer and fell in love with it. I have been out of archery hunting for over 10 years and am simple amazed to just what this "little bow" will do. It is a hunters dream come true. This bow reduces a hunters overall fatigue in the field which translates into more time and energy to hunt and shoot. I am of small stature an even without shooting for over 10 years and shooting a right handed bow, I am a lefty, I was putting 6 arrows at a time into a 4" circle at 30 yards in less than an hour! I am very excited to complete my setup and begin shooting. I thank you for such a wonderful product and will be purchasing one for my wife this fall.

I would just like to update you on the short story I wrote with references to the Liberty 1. It has been accepted into the anthology by the editing publisher and was a huge hit with the beta readers who helped to choose the short stories that will be included in the book. The book itself will be published sooner than I had first expected, it will be available from Amazon in ebook form by 10/31/2013 as well a print. With the expedited Halloween release it will be in the hands of avid readers worldwide very soon.
"Feast or Famine" is the title of the anthology and "The Change" is the title of my story within the book. The main premise of the stories in the anthology is preparedness or "prepping" for a fictional zombie apocalyptic style world. I hope that multitudes of readers will learn of the Liberty 1 and search it out as I did and find it to be a possible integral piece of hunting or survival equipment that they themselves can use.
Again I want to thank you for your permission and cooperation in allowing me to place a real tangible item in my story that I feel has a definite place in a survival preparedness situation and should be considered a necessity in every bow hunters arsenal. As I said before, I definitely want to obtain one as soon as I'm able.

Dear Howard,

I would like to let you know how excellent the Liberty 1 performed during my hunting trip to Namibia in the last week of November 2007.

I purchased the bow shortly before our departure to Namibia from a buddy of mine, Juergen Frings from Wildlife-Marketing.

During the last weekend at home I got familiar with this "deadful, infernal machine".

Together with Juergen I bowhunted in Namibia and beside the Bowtech Tribute I wanted to give the Liberty a try.

So I shot this young Springbok on Farm Kachauchab for the farmers kitchen.

The 34 yards shot fired from the 82 lbs Liberty with the G5 Tekan II broadhead equipped arrow cut the upper part of the lung and smashed through the spine so that the buck dropped dead within the shot.

Amazing performance, incredible bow - for the future I think I will use the Liberty more often especially because he is lightweight and easy to carry especially in the suitcase which makes the immigration procedures for overseas hunts much easier.

Will let you know about further successes if you like.

I liked this bow so much I purchased 2 One I set up to shoot 24 1/2 inch arrows. Made my own overdraw shelf. Shooting out of a blind, Spot and Stalk. This is a great little bow. I made a camera mount and it screws into my stablilizer mount. Video camera weighs 9 oz. The two bows I have are 50-60 lbs. Both set at about 52 lbs. I have thought about getting the next size smaller. The wife could hunt with it. Great shooter at the range compititions and an eye opener. People around here cant believe that this is not a Toy. Its a beliver when they pull the arrows out of the Target. Sling shot with wheels, call it what they want. I have game in the freezer. Thanks for making such a great bow. I am very satisfied. I know that you are going to call me a liar about this (my brother did!), but the attached pictures are of a single 4-shot group I shot today with your bow from 80 yards, in a steady 10 mph left-to-right crosswind!!! (I put my hand into the pictures for size reference.) I couldn’t believe it myself when I walked up to the target! (Previous to this group I had only shot one group today from 40 yards before moving back to 80, and this was the first group from there!) Obviously the set-up I have on your bow is capable of excellent accuracy! I’d like to say that I’m shooting groups that tight from all the closer distances as well, but that would be a lie. For some reason I’m shooting better groups from 80 yards than I do from 40 or 60! I think it may be because the glowing pin head just fills the target circle on my target at 80 yards, but for whatever reason, I LIKE IT!!! I thought you might too, so I had to send these to you!

I just wanted to share my first Liberty 1 kill with you!

I was deer hunting on September 15^th & caught a glimpse of red from behind me at about 60 yards away… it was a Red Fox & she was stalking two squirrels that were chasing each other in circles in the leaves about 30 yards from me… I was on the ground & worried she would see me, so I watched her carefully & I slowly began turning in her direction as she worked her way towards me… she was slowly stalking the squirrels & every time she put a tree between me & her I would slowly turn until I was finally able to come to full draw without her seeing me… I held at full draw for the perfect opportunity, for what seemed like eternity (but holding the Liberty at full draw is not difficult at all, as you know) & when she got within about 5 or 6 feet of the squirrels, she crouched down low to the ground & wiggled her butt, like a cat about to pounce, just before she pounced, I ripped that Speed Pro Max arrow, with a 100grain Swhacker broadhead at exactly 27 yards & hammered her perfectly in the shoulder, dropping her on the spot with no movement whatsoever after she was hit… right through the motor leaving her dead in her tracks… She never knew what hit her & there was zero tracking!

Dear Liberty Archery,

Congratulations on making one hell of a bow. Early this fall a friend of mine drove 2 hours to order his Liberty 1. When he got it he asked me to set it up for him and try it out. I usually keep up to date with current technology and was shooting a Bow Tech just purchased in 06. He wanted me to let him know if it was up to snuff with my Bow Tech. At first I looked at it and thought it's cute but didn't expect much from it. I figured you'd have to give up a lot in order to make a bow that small and light. I WAS MISTAKEN. The first shot out of the Liberty 1 was all I needed to start wanting one. There were two friends with me at the time and none of us could believe how quick and quite the bow was. I took turns shooting the same arrows from my bow and then from the Liberty1. The Liberty one was consistently quiter and faster than mine with no more hand shock and that was without a stabilizer on it.

That was all it took. After giving my buddy his bow back I started on a mission to get a local shop to become a dealer. After a couple of weeks it happened and I ordered mine. I recieved it the week before PA whitetail archery season started so the race was on to get comfortable enough with it to responsibly take it into the woods. After a couple of days, 50 or so shots, 2 busted arrow shafts and countless vanes being destroyed by stacking shots on top of them I felt I could comfortably hunt with it. I was consistently smacking arrows at 20 yards, putting them in a snuff can at 30, and in 4-5" groups at 50.

After hunting around my job schedule I took time off and worked around my hunting schedule. It paid off! I passed up 4 or 5 different bucks waiting for a shot at one of three that I had been watching. On Nov 3rd it happened. One of the three picked up the scent trail I left and followed it all too well right to my stand. He stood directly under the tree and sniffed the climbing stick when his rack hit it made a nice "tink!!" it scared the hell out of him and he bolted out to 15 yards then slowed to a walk. He was moving straight away so I couldn't get a shot. He walked to 20, then to 25. he had no intention of stopping or giving me a shot so at 25 yards I grunted. He stopped at 30 yards and looked over his left shoulder. Already at full draw, from when he startled himself and ran, I saw a window behind his left rib and hit the release. The arrow entered right right where the 30 yard pin was aimed for and exitted his right shoulder. He ran less than 80 yards and dropped. He is my widest spread buck to date. His inside spread is 21" and he is a 10 point. He hasn't been scored yet but I'm guessing right around 140. His dressed weight was over 200 lbs. He is quite a trophy and I'm glad I had the Liberty 1 to take him with.

I've just taken delivery of a Liberty 1 bow here in the UK. Used but in A1 condition. All I can say is that your site and comments do not do this amazing piece of technology justice. Superbly engineered, well balanced and it really kicks ass!

I am so excited by the look and feel of the bow - what a fantastic piece of kit. I've let off a few arrows in the garden - so quiet and deadly accurate.

Hutting by bow is not allowed in the UK but it's great in the field and really draws some admiring looks.

The place is amazing and the usual bear, roe deer and wildboar trophies are huge. In fact they say the wildboar trophies one can get there are the biggest in the world. - One of mine is an international gold medal. -

Hi Howard,

You really need to improve your web site. Your bow is one of the best in the world but people are hesitant to buy because they are brain washed by the "Starbucks" world ( sell crap but advertise it like it is gold). I just looked at onieda's website it doesn't have half the info you have put on your website but they are selling their bow for up to 1400$. I have shown ur bow to a number of people they love it but wont buy because ur web site looks "cheap". I told them you will answer any question and support ur product 100% but they are so stupid they don't trust it because of ur web site. These people see me shoot and can see the results but just won't make the leap of faith. Just letting you know. I love my liberty!

hi there I was wondering will you be designing a carry case for your bow , I mean the type you carry on your back like a backpack only it can hold your bow and arrows plus a small compartment for other things like spare string , spare Arrowheads, binoculars , gloves ,face vail

ive been shooting your bow for a while now and I still cant believe how smooth and fast it is sometimes when im only shooting 10- 15 yards I don't even see the arrow fly its so fast . just the other day I was out with your bow and I came across four deer feeding three does and a buck they were about 35 yards away but the buck was behind a doe so I fired an arrow into the ground just to the side of them to see there reaction and the deer didn't even run they just looked up as if to say what was that so I snapped a branch and they took off . it just shows you that's one quiet bow.well that's all for now I hope to here from you soon .

One last thing, I am not kidding when I tell you how pleased I am with this bow. My guess is that at least 99% of the complaints you receive are likely caused not by bow quality problems, rather with poor setup by tampering, or even more likely, bad form that induces torque into the bow upon release. I know I am only a sample of one, but I find this bow remarkably consistent - even with improper or non-precise set- up.

I received the bow in perfect working order. I took it to a range today and a friend wanted to film the bow in action. He particularly wanted to see the first shot. Here is a clip of that first shot. I thought you might get a kick out of an honest reaction from a guy who has never once shot a bow using a sight in his entire life.
